Dylan
(sir scrub)'s
story

About the artist

Dylan was an artist and model who lived and worked in Bristol.

His work focused on themes of sex, love, food, dreams and the body.

In 2021 he was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma in his right wrist resulting in an amputation of his dominant hand.  He had to re-learn to draw with his left hand and faced many challenges in the three years until he died in 2024. He faced it all with humour, kindness and strength. This website is dedicated to him and the joy his artwork brings to the world and hopes, through the Scrub Foundation, to raise money to support young people in their 20s facing the same struggles after diagnosis that Dyl did.
